Author, Speaker & Relationship Therapist…
I have an MSW from McGill University (1997) and a BComm from Concordia University (1995), with postgraduate training in Bowen Family Systems Theory from the Western Pennsylvania Family Center (2012). I've spent over 25 years as a marriage and family therapist in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.
I am the author of three books:
Learning to Commit: The best time to work on your marriage is when you’re single.
It Takes More Than Love: A workbook for singles and couples, co-written with Dr. Aliza Israel.
Where Would You Like To Start: A master therapist on beginning psychotherapy with families, co-authored with the late Dr. David Freeman.
In addition to my clinical work, I’m a lifelong musician 🎸 and songwriter 🎹, having formed multiple bands and composed music for TV and film. My latest project is an ambient album of original, guitar-based compositions. You can find it here.
My home is in Toronto, Ontario, where I reside with my wife, a child psychiatrist, and our three boys.
